Every church has to make their own decision in their context of when to re-open. It is not an easy decision to make, weighing state and federal laws and guidelines, considering our church population, weighing finances and more.

For years, pastors have been leading and serving their people. They do not need to government’s help in deciding how to best care for their people spiritually, emotionally and physically. They are not perfect nor will they make a perfect decision. No pastor can make a re-opening decision that will make everyone happy, that is for sure.

This graph highlights just some of the challenges pastors face. In this season, we urge you to pray for your pastor(s), staff, leaders and church as they make their best discernment. Below are some links to some articles and resources that raise important thoughts and questions. We are not making a statement of support or endorsement by posting these, rather providing resources to assist us all as we think about and wrestle with not only re-opening, but more importantly what the Holy Spirit might be saying to us in this season.
