While attending an annual LCMC Conference, the senior pastor and I met with Dr. Marcus Carlson and Jen Binford from Preparing for Amazement Ministries (P.A.M.). They explained how their ministry works with congregations, particularly those having a difficult time with conflict. They outlined steps to be taken prior to their involvement, along with what the process will likely look like. Consequently, in my role as the president of the Council at my congregation, I had direct interaction with P.A.M. while we were addressing conflict within the leadership and congregation. Dr. Carlson and his staff were exceptionally flexible to our timeline and the hurdles we encountered. I am confident that Dr. Carlson’s experience, education and passion for helping others will continue to translate into effective and dynamic change in churches and beyond. I believe his approach is both solid and well grounded, particularly how their focus is on the health of the leadership and the congregation as a whole.
